Details

PF 200 Polyester Fabric is a stitch-bonded, low profile, polyester designed for use with our silicone roofing and waterproofing systems. Together they form a strong yet conforming membrane. PF 200 Polyester Fabric is used to increase tensile strength, specifically at joints, flashings. and seams that may move as the roof expands and contracts.

Storage and Shelf Life: Store indoors in a dry location.

Application

Application: When applying the PF200 fabric with PM silicone roof coatings, the substrate must be clean and free of any moisture and debris.

  1. Apply the base coat of silicone coating onto the substrate at approximately 10 to 15 mils extending the coating 2” on all sides of the area to receive the fabric.
  2. Next, set the PF200 fabric in the wet coating ensuring there are no fish-mouths or wrinkles. It is extremely important to fully saturate the PF200 fabric from edge to edge.
  3. Apply finish coat over polyester at rate of approximately 20 to 30 mils and extending the coating past the edge of the fabric to ensure a watertight condition.

Any exposed fibers will wick moisture into the system. An additional coat of silicone may be required under certain conditions. It is crucial that all wrinkles and fish mouths be smoothed out during application. If not, the potential for failure is likely. If wrinkles and fish-mouths are present after material is fully cured out, cut out wrinkle or fish-mouth and re-apply the PF200 as described above.

Weather Restrictions: To ensure optimum performance, it is recommended that you do not apply this product when surface temperatures are below 40 degrees. In cold-weather applications, material should be kept indoors until immediately before application. It is also recommended that you do not apply this material while rain is falling. Rain will not cause silicone to wash off, but the substrate will become wet and will negatively impact adhesion.
