Allow natural light into your building and keep the surface of your roof safe and watertight with our Translucent Skylight Coating.
This skylight coating provides long-term protection because it resists weathering, aging, oxidation, wind-driven sand, rain and snow, the effects of ozone, ultraviolet radiation and the temperature extremes typically found on roofs. With its high solids content and absence of hydrocarbon solvents, HS 3220 Series can be applied in excess of 40 mils in a single coat without blistering, while maintaining maximum adhesion.
Available in: Translucent color, 5-gallon containers.
Application: Spray or roll-apply.
Designed to be applied over skylights, the translucent color allows natural light into the building. This product is also imperative for rooftop safety, as coating over a skylight panel will hide the panel and poses a fall-hazard.
Storage and Shelf Life:
HS 3220 Series has a recommended shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers between 40°F and 80°F. Refer to product packaging for date of manufacture.
Mix: It is recommended that any silicone product be mixed with a drill mixer for ~5 minutes prior to application.
Application: The recommended application rate is 30 mils (app. 2.25 gal per sq.) and should be applied in a minimum of two coats to eliminate sag or runoff.
Equipment: Our Translucent Skylight Coating should be applied via spray equipment (We recommend the Graco 933) or roll-applied using a medium nap roller.
Cure Time: Our Translucent Skylight Coating cures in 1-4 hours under normal weather conditions and is tack-free in 1-2 hours. Because conditions vary, it is recommended that you exercise caution prior to walking on recently applied coating.
Weather Restrictions: To ensure optimum performance, it is recommended that you do not apply this product when surface temperatures are below 40 degrees. In cold-weather applications, material should be kept indoors until immediately before application. It is also recommended that you do not apply this material while rain is falling. Rain will not cause silicone to wash off, but the substrate will become wet and will negatively impact adhesion.
