Restore, waterproof, and lengthen the life of your roof with our 100% Silicone Roof Coatings.
Our Standard Solids Silicone Roof Coating has a lower solids content than our other coatings. This product is perfect for use over spray foam as the modified solids content allows it to sag and fill any dimples in the foam while maintaining a completely watertight barrier.
Available in: White, Tan, Light Gray, Dark Gray and Black, in 5 and 50-gallon containers.
Application: Spray or roll-apply.
While this material is designed to be applied over sprayed polyurethane foam, it can also be used as a roof restoration product. In most situations, our silicone adheres to the existing substrate without the need of a primer, saving you time and money.
Resistance to UV rays, ponding water, oxidation, wind-driven sand, rain, and snow, and temperature extremes allows our roof coatings to provide long-term protection. Because of our coatings’ high reflectivity, you can expect to save up to $.50 per square foot on your energy bill after installing a silicone roof coating.
Storage and Shelf Life: LS 2200 Series Standard Solids Silicone has a recommended shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers between 40°F and 80°F. Refer to product packaging for date of manufacture.
Mix: It is recommended that any silicone product be mixed with a drill mixer for ~5 minutes prior to application.
Application: The coating can be applied with standard airless spray equipment or applied by medium nap roller. For small touch-up work, a brush may be used. The application rate and method for our Standard Solids Silicone Roof Coating depends on the substrate you are restoring. Contact your sales rep to determine the proper application rate.
Equipment: Our Standard Solids Silicone Roof Coatings should be applied via spray equipment (We recommend the Graco 933) or roll-applied using a medium nap roller.
Cure Time: Our Standard Solids Silicone Roof Coating cures at normal temperature and humidity levels in 1-3 hours by reacting with moisture in the air. For applications with lower than normal temperature and humidity levels, expect the cure time to be longer.
Weather Restrictions: To ensure optimum performance, it is recommended that you do not apply this product when surface temperatures are below 40 degrees. In cold-weather applications, material should be kept indoors until immediately before application. It is also recommended that you do not apply this material while rain is falling. Rain will not cause silicone to wash off, but the substrate will become wet and will negatively impact adhesion.
