Application: Apply by hand with a brush, trowel, or putty knife.
Details
Patch and Repair Sealant is a thick, high-build mastic with identical waterproofing properties as our High Solids Silicone Roof Coatings. It is a 100% silicone product, specially formulated to be thick and easy to apply in areas where coating is not. It is designed to seal abnormal roof penetrations that cannot be covered with standard sprayers or rollers. Patch and Repair Sealant can be applied with a brush, trowel, or putty knife.
Because the product is so thick, it can stand in place of traditional rubber, mesh, and polyester fabrics or tapes. Rather than laying down a roll of tape over separated seams, this product can be brush-applied over seams and around flashings much more quickly. Patch and Repair Sealant should be applied over the seam and then used in conjunction with our High Solids Silicone Roof Coatings.
On top of sealing seams, Patch and Repair Sealant is great for sealing flashings, joints, small cracks, fasteners, vents, uneven surfaces, protrusions, drains, and depressions.
Pro Patch is a must-have for any coating contractor, for both job prep and for any repairs or touch-up work after the job is complete.
Storage and Shelf Life: Pro Patch Silicone Sealant has a recommended shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers between 40°F and 80°F. Refer to product packaging for date of manufacture.

Application
Prep: Prior to applying any silicone product, prep the roof by power-washing, removing dirt and debris, and making any necessary repairs. Ensure roof is completely dry prior to applying silicone. For more detailed preparation instructions, view our Technical Resources page.
Mix: Before applying our Patch and Repair Sealant, be sure to adequately mix the product.
Application: Apply this product by brush, trowel, putty knife, or roller. Make sure you force the product down into all penetrations and that you completely cover all protrusions.
Cure Time: Allow the first coat to cure for 3-12 hours, depending on environmental factors. As soon as it is cured, our Patch and Repair Sealant can be safely walked on. Apply silicone top coat of choice and continue coating the rest of the roof.
Weather Restrictions: To ensure optimum performance, it is recommended that you do not apply this product when surface temperatures are below 40 degrees. In cold-weather applications, material should be kept indoors and above 65°F until immediately before application. It is also recommended that you do not apply this material while rain is falling. Rain will not cause silicone to wash off, but the substrate will become wet and will negatively impact adhesion.
