Infused with tiny flakes of brilliantly colored aluminum, this High Solids Silicone Roof Coating will give your roof a brilliance and shine not possible with a typical roof coating.
Available in: Aluminum, Gold, and Copper in 1, 5, and 55-gallon containers.
Application: For best results, spray apply our Metallic Aluminum Silicone Roof Coating in a thin layer on top of an already-coated roof.
HS 3230 series is a premium silicone product that is infused with metallic pigments to enhance reflectivity (as compared to other dark coatings which may decrease reflectivity), match metal roof appearance, and improve aesthetics of any roof. The metallic pigments do not impact adhesion or longevity. HS 3230 series is comparable to our HS 3200 Series High Solids Silicone Roof Coating in terms of performance.
The system provides long-term protection because it resists weathering, aging, oxidation, wind-driven sand, rain and snow, the effects of ozone, ultraviolet radiation and the temperature extremes typically found on roofs. With its high solids content and absence of hydrocarbon solvents, HS 3230 series is designed to be applied as a top-coat over another silicone coating, either HS 3200 or LS 2200 series. HS 3230 series should not be applied greater than 8 mils to allow the metallic pigments to properly orient and provide maximum reflectivity.
Storage and Shelf Life: HS 3230 Metallic Silicone Roof Coating has a recommended shelf life of 12 months from the date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers between 40°F and 80°F. Refer to product packaging for date of manufacture.
Mix: It is recommended that any silicone product be mixed with a drill mixer for ~5 minutes prior to application.
Application: This product is intended to be applied over an existing silicone roof coating at a rate of no greater than 8 mils.
Equipment: HS 3230 should be applied via spray equipment (We recommend the Graco 933).
Cure Time: HS 3203 cures in 1-4 hours under normal weather conditions and is tack-free in 1-2 hours. Because conditions vary, it is recommended that you exercise caution prior to walking on recently applied coating.
Weather Restrictions: To ensure optimum performance, it is recommended that you do not apply this product when surface temperatures are below 40 degrees. In cold-weather applications, material should be kept indoors until immediately before application. It is also recommended that you do not apply this material while rain is falling. Rain will not cause silicone to wash off, but the substrate will become wet and will negatively impact adhesion.
