AM 401 is a thick high-quality water-based acrylic mastic available in white or as tinted. It is designed to seal abnormal roof penetrations that cannot be covered with standard sprayers or rollers. It is also used over seams as part of the PM Acrylic system.
Details
The system is suitable for use on various conventional smooth and granulated BUR and polymer modified roof membranes with smooth mineral surfacing, most metal roof systems, single ply membranes (primers or special precautions may be required), concrete, cementitious stucco, EIFS, other masonry substrates, exterior-grade plywood, rigid coverboards such as Dens-Deck® and Securock® and SPUF. A substrate adhesion test is recommended prior to product application
Storage & Shelf Life: AM 400 Series has a recommended shelf life of 12 months from date of manufacture when stored in unopened containers and between 40°f and 100°f to prevent the product from freezing. Refer to product packaging.
Application
Apply the AM-400 series at the rate of 1.5 gallons per 100 sq. ft. (24 wet mils). Surface texture and wind will affect applied mil thickness. (One gallon will typically encapsulate between 300 and 350 fasteners)
